Biography

Inspiriert von „Evanescence und Tarja“ bewegt sich Wolfton musikalisch im Symphonic-Metal Bereich. Tiefe Gitarrensounds, druckvolle Drums, hoher Refrain Gesang, ergänzt mit Streichern und Chören und alles in einem perfekten Klangbild verpackt.

Seit über 20 Jahren ist Wolfgang Schmidt aus Heilbronn (Deutschland) als Toningenieur für das Fernsehen und die Musikindustrie tätig. Daher kommt auch der Namen Wolfton – Wolfgang beim Ton also Wolfton.

Als im März 2020 die Fernseh- und Veranstaltungsbranche durch die Corona-Pandemie fast komplett zum Erliegen kam hatte auch Wolfton über 3 Monate keinen Job mehr.

Es wurden keine Musiker mehr aufgenommen, nun wurde selbst musiziert.

Von der Komposition bis zum fertigen Musikvideo wurde alles selbst produziert. Lediglich ein Kameramann war für die Bildaufzeichnungen vor Ort. Die erste Single die während dieser Zeit produziert wurde ist „Fly Away“. Der Text handelt von der Pandemie Zeit. Aber das soll es nicht gewesen sein, Wolfton wird demnächst die nächste Single in Angriff nehmen.

Das Ziel ist ein komplettes Album und Konzerte mit einer kompletten Band.

Inspired by „Evanescence and Tarja“, Wolfton is musically in the symphonic metal area. Deep guitar sounds, powerful drums, high chorus vocals, supplemented with strings and choirs and all packaged in a perfect sound.

Wolfgang Schmidt from Heilbronn (Germany) has been working as a sound engineer for television and the music industry for over 20 years. That is where the name Wolfton comes from. The German word for the sound is “Ton”- Wolfgang works for the sound – so Wolfton.

When the corona pandemic almost completely brought the television and events industry to a standstill in March 2020, Wolfton also had no job for more than 3 months.

No more musicians were recorded, now music was played.

From the composition to the finished music video, everything was produced in-house. Only one cameraman was on site for the picture recordings. The first single that was produced during this time is “Fly Away”. The text is about the pandemic time. But that´s not supposed to be, Wolfton will soon tackle the next single.

The goal is complete album and concerts with a complete band.
